CARLTON
CRUSADERS
Led brilliantly by Stu Lightyear
(cousin of Buzz) & Kyle Dawson, this team
should be back on fire in the '05 league Always
the ones to watch out for at any aftermatch boat
race! |
| |
AIR
MILES V BLACKS 1
Greg Boucher (David Beckham look-alike) will play
with great heart (and hair gel) throughout. Robbie
'Erol' Flynn will also make some super cameo appearances
to lead the V Blacks 1 in style in 05. |
| |
AIR
MILES V BLACKS 2
Big 'Pistol Pete' went down as our best player for
the VB 2's in the '04 tournie...will he go back to
back this year?. Mushi, Quentin and Mark Screech had
solid form too to in '04, but will surely lift their
game a notch for '05. |
 |
DUBAI
CELTICS
Malaky again will lead these guys and girls with great heart &
spirits. The Celt ladies are damn fine players and
usually upstage the blokes...so let's see more of
this again in '05. |
| |
CTU
Back from shooting Bro Town, famous flying Samoan Johnny Mamea
will lead CTU again. Jackson (blue shoes to make him look
faster), Rita, Deane, Jackie will all star again.
Adrian Kerr, after woeful '04 form, will most likely
be dumped this year. |
| |
SCB
BOKS
SCB guys and girls were 'our' team of the
tournament in '04. They improved immensely and
always had fun. Ones to look out for in '05. |
 |
DUBAI
SEAFARERS
Browny (the most deceptive speed merchant on
the park) lead the boys well in '04. Special mention goes
to them fronting every week...usually after some
heavy sessions the night before. The Seafarers will
look set to role in '05.
|
| |
HURRICANES
The Hurricanes blew across Dubai touch footy on a
few occasions. These guys team spirit is hugely
commendable, but need to get all the boys out of bed
if they want to have any chance this year. Pete &
Chris (squidgy) players to look out for. |
| |
LANKA
LIONS
Sujeewa Dias is head Lion in charge of this rampaging
pride. These boys again will do fantastically well
in '05 and lead from the front |
 |
BOKKIES
(HURRICANE VETS)
Clayton got 'dork of the day' one day in '04 and never
returned. Seen last week around Safa park, he was
quoted as saying 'I've been in health camp and I'm
now a lean, mean fighting machine'. Let's see it
Clay. Grant & Viv also looking to back it up
with a storming '05 season. |
| |
EMIRATES
AIRLINE FLYING MUPPETS:
Kermit (Doush), Ms Piggy (Jamie) & Fozzie
Bear (Rob) and
ladies favourite Jay (Grover) Carter will be there
chucking it around and having a laugh. Always on
fine form, the Muppets! |
| |
EXILES
VETS:
The Andrew Johns of rugby, Chris Lamb looks set to weave his magic
in '05, but this is a team game as we know and the
Exiles were the team of '04 putting in some superb
performances. We look
forward to '05 with you, fellas! |
 |
DRAGONS:
Ran out of a bit of puff throughout the tournament
and weren't worthy of even a mention. Hopefully they
back up a fine rugby season (again!) with a fine
touch footy season...stay tuned. |
| |
BARASTI
BAR:
Paulo and the boys will be out of the sea, into
the bar, then down to the Country Club for another
great '05 season. |
